BASS CHOWDER RECIPE!!!

Ok, this is really simple and you can adapt it to your taste.
The amount for each ingredient will vary depending on how much fish you have and how many people you want to feed.

You’ll need:
1 or 2 onions, chopped,
about half the amount of onion in celery, chopped,
1 or 2 tablespoons of butter,
Flour (about one tablespoon per cup of milk),
homogenized milk, or cream, or 2%, 1% etc. Richness will vary depending on what you choose.
1/2 cup Mushrooms (optional)
3 or 4 potatoes, diced,
and of course, BASS, or any other firm textured white fish meat. 2 or 3 good sized fillets will do.
Salt and Pepper

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat,
add the onion and celery but don’t overcook. Just coat it in the butter for about 3-4 minutes,
Stir in flower, (remember to stir constantly as you do this) 1 tablespoon for each cup of milk you’ll have, add salt and pepper to taste
add milk, slowly, stir,
bring to a light boil,
add potatoes, cook for about 10 minutes, or until cooked
add mushrooms, wait 1 minute
add fish, cook lightly, simmering (or else it will fall appart) for about 4 minutes
DON’T OVERCOOK THE FISH!!!

Let everything cool off a little, throw a little parsley on top, add salt and pepper
Serve in a bowl with crusty bread,
Enjoy your catch of the day!!!
