I can see you!

Eels are easy to approach underwater for some reason. If you’re real stealthy you can usually sneak up and grab one before they take off. The spot where I saw this one is also loaded with smallies who seem to follow the eels around. When the eel stirs up something edible, the smallmouth is ready to get its free meal. Notice the zebra mussels everywhere. At least the water is clear I guess.

As you can see the image quality with the disposable underwater cameras abailable at Jean Coutu isn’t always the best. This is really clear water. My best results were by far around noon when the sun is high and on calm days.

You gotta love it.

LunkerBass.jpg
This is the reason I fish. Every once in a while, really, really good things happen.
This bass brought Terrance (the guy who took the picture) and I to our knees. We were screaming and laughing like kids. This is fishing at it’s best and only 50 minutes out of Montreal.

This one followed a Bigcraw right to the boat and turned away. I saw 2 or 3 other fish behind him and threw out my 3.75 inch tube. You gotta love those smallies.

She doesn’t fish often but once in a while I can convince her to come out. We had pretty nasty weather that day while perch fishing. This was a little surprise and was also Jordanna’s 1st pike. Doesn’t she look proud :) …Way to go Jo!
