
Caught this one on a home-made spinner rig and live minnow. Gotta love fall fishin’. There’s something truly magical about being alone on the lake with my thoughts and a few active fish. I love it. The best part about it is that she’s still swimming.

As I’m not an active fisherwoman and have limited knowledge in fish biology, how do you tell if this fish is a she? Just curious.
Well you see you have to stick your finger up the …. Just kidding. It’s fishing lingo. The big ones are always shes and the small ones little guys.
I could get into a complex analysis of male testosterone and societal gender differentiation but I won’t.
